Sarveshwar Public Senior Secondary School is in the state of Rajasthan situated 50 kilometres outside Jaipur in the farming district of Dudu is the small village of Sawarda. I am delighted to say I have had connections with Choudhary family for the past 9 years. Ramshewar along with his wife, 2 sons & 9 teachers operate Sarveshwar Public Senior Secondary School, when purchasing the school in 2013 he told me of his strong desire to ” follow his passion”. His passion is education, his college education placed him in very different roll, accounting within a Sanganer textile company I had been manufacturing with for a number of years. The school has doubled in size since his purchase, now has over 400 very enthusiastic boys & girls year 1 thru to year 12. Fees converted to Australian dollars for a full year of schooling in Sawarda village school are: YEARS 1 & 2 $60, YEARS 3,4 & 5 $70, YEARS 6 & 7 $90, YEAR 8 $100, YEAR 9 $110, YEAR 10 $130, YEAR 11 $140, YEAR 12 $150.
Dudu district families are very pleased with the level of schooling their children are receiving, encouraged by Rameshewar’s enthusiasm for young leaners advancing thru education. When he purchased the Sawarda village school in the farming district of Dudu 2013 it had 220 students, today over 400. The alongside block of land has been purchased, toilets built, connected fresh water tap for drinking whilst extending the upper level into classrooms for the students. The second stage of building more classrooms is at present stalled due to lack of funds. On my regular visits to Jaipur I put aside a couple of days for fun….my fun is assisting at the school. There is very little opportunity for the students to hear english spoken by a native english speaker, in this district there is no english spoken other than at the school during their english lessons. The students are in need of hearing english spoken, reading english aloud to a keen listener then receiving direction with pronunciation & meaning, that is an enormous help to them.
